Young Tiger NTR's Ramayya
Vastavayya has commenced a new schedule in Hyderabad and vital scenes on the
leads will be canned. Shruti Haasan, who is doing a special role in the movie,
has joined the unit while Samantha is playing the leading lady.
Harish Shankar is wielding the megaphone for this commercial entertainer and the director informs that besides entertainment and peak level heroism, Ramayya Vastavayya is also high on emotional elements which will appeal to family audiences. NTR will be seen in a youthful look in the role of a college student after a long time.
The filmmakers are planning to release Ramayya Vastavayya in August end. Dil Raju is producing the movie on Sri Venkateswara Creations with cinematography by Chota K Naidu and musical scores by S S Thaman.

Ramayya Vasthavayya is an upcoming Telugu film written and directed
by Harish Shankar. The film is produced by Dil Raju under their Sri Venkateswara Creations banner,
and will star Jr.
NTR, Samantha andShruti Haasan in lead roles. This is
the second time Jr. NTR is acting with Samantha after Brindavanam. The soundtrack will be composed by Thaman, who will be working with Harish Shankar for the second time in
his career.[8] The
film will have it's cinematography handled by Chota K. Naidu. The film was officially launched on October 18,
2012 at Dil Raju's office in Hyderabad.[9] Filming
began on January 3, 2013 and the film is tentatively scheduled to be released
worldwide on September 27, 2013.[10]
Development[edit]
Rumors of Harish Shankar directing NTR
were afloat before Gabbar singh released and became a huge success but the project
was delayed because NTR was busy with other commitments.[12] In
May 2012, it was reported that NTR is making a movie with his close friend
Kodali Nani under Harish Shankar direction.[13] Due
to the political differences between NTR and Nani the movie is now poduced by Dil Rajuunder
their Sri Venkateswara Creations banner [14] The
movie was officially announced by Harish Shankar in an interview after the big
success of Gabbar Singh in July 2012 and revealed that the project would start
after NTR completes the shooting for Baadshah. After the official announcement
Harish Shankar revealed that NTR actually is a close friend and NTR accepted
his story many years ago but the movie was delayed because of various reasons.
There were a lot of rumors about the movie's title. It was first announced by
the director Harish Shankar that the movie is titled MLA Manchi Lakshanalu unna
Abbai but then because of creative differences the team removed the title MLA
Manchi Lakshanalu unna Abbai.[15] Then
it was rumored that the movie is titled Jana Gana Mana because Dil Raju under
his banner reserved the title but it was later conformed by Dil Raju that the
movie doesn't have a title yet and Jana Gana Mana was reserved for another
movie under Sri Venkateswara Creations.[16] On
October 18, 2012 the film`s muhurtham [17] and
pooja ceremony were held in Dil raju's office in Hyderabad.[18][19] It
was announced that S. Thaman would score the soundtrack and Chota K. Naidu will
handle the camera.[20]
Casting[edit]
In October 2012, it was reported that Tamannaah was
under consideration for the role opposite NTR.[21] It
was declared as just a rumor and Harish Shankar on November 19, 2012 revealed
via Twitter that they selected Samantha to play the main lead in the film.[22] Harish
Shankar revealed that NTR will play the role of a college student in this film.[23] NTR
will be acting as a back bench student and the movie will be an out and out
commercial entertainer.[24] The
director revealed there will be two female leads in the movie. There were
rumors that Regina Cassandra who played lead roles in Shiva Manasulo Shrutiand Routine Love Story will be the second
leading lady in this big project. In January 2013 Harish Shankar told
in an interview that Shruthi Hassan is the second leading lady
in this project and Shruthi Hassan confirmed it on February 4,
2013 via twitter.[25] Vidyullekha
Raman is also playing a pivotal role in the movie and Vidyullekha
Raman herself confirmed the news on her twitter page.
Filming[edit]
It was announced that the regular
shooting will start only after NTR completes shooting for Baadshah but in
December 2012 it was revealed by the director Harish Shankar that the regular
shooting will start in January. The director also said the movie will not go to
any foreign countries for songs. 80% of the movie will shoot in Hyderabad and
the rest in Pollachi and songs in different location in India.[26] This
Untitled Project's first Schedule Began on January 4, 2013 in Somajiguda
Hyderabad and in this schedule NTR introduction fight and some scenes between
the lead pair will be canned. The first schedule will end on January 14.[27][28] The
first schedule came to an end on January 13. The team managed to wrap up the
shoot in 9 days a day before the planned schedule.[29] After
the First Schedule NTR moved on to Baadshah. After Baadshah NTR moved back to
working on Ramayya Vasthavayya at Hitam College, on April 12th Harish Shankar via
twitter revealed that they are shooting some teasing scenes between NTR and
Samantha.[30] Shruti Haasanstarted
working on this movie on March 26th and many vital scenes on NTR and Shruti Haasan were
canned. [31] Later
in the end of June, Samantha rejoined the sets of the film after her shoot in
Europe for Attharintiki Daaredhi in Hyderabad.[32] The
film shoot had a night schedule where the scenes were canned till 5:30 AM in
the morning.[33] Later
some wedding scenes were shot at Sierra Garden and Friendly Line areas of
Ramoji Film City and NTR, Samantha participated in the shoot.[34] A
song was canned on NTR at Annapurna 7 Acres.[35]
Release: It was announced that the film would release on September
27, 2013 which marks the 12th anniversary of NTR's first blockbuster Student No.1.
